ESMERALDA (of TANGO AND TAPAS Urges all tangueros who are also avid salseros to go to a benefit this Saturday night for a great friend of tango, Trey Parker, who has had two serious back operations, cannot work for months and very much needs our financial aid---therefore--- Those who can, please join us at a wild and wooly Salsa party this Sat. night--at least for a couple of hours (then run off to tango at 2 fantastic places--Sondra's at Lafayette Grill and Carlos' Milonga de Gardel)
Trey created one of the most glorious of all milongas for us on that barge at Pier 53 until costs became so prohibited. He has given time to everyone and all things tango---carrying on with Rick Castro when I stopped hitting and running in Central Park---carrying equipment to Central Park, keeping it going, keeping South Street Seaport going--you name it. All others not interested in tango: we will organize another benefit for Trey that will be strictly tango. We will keep you informed.
