In 2 weeks (March 10-12) Alex Krebs from Tango Berretin Studio in Portland OR will be teaching tango workshops (all weekend) and DJing milongas (Friday and Saturday) in Champaign-Urbana. Once again for one of our close embrace tango weekends we are expecting a good turnout of dancers from around the Midwest to complement the multitude of friendly dancers in our own tango community. You will have a lot of good partners to dance with at the workshops and at the milongas. If you haven't been to one of our tango weekends at the Phillips Recreation Center in Urbana, you need to come. If you've been here before, we welcome you back.
Alex is a great instructor who will provide a lot of energy and, as a professional musician and tango band leader, he will greatly improve your appreciation of tango musicality, an often neglected area of study in tango. After classes with Alex, you will see why dancers travel many hours to be part of a tango weekend with Alex Krebs as an instructor.
