As part of our tango weekend with Alex Krebs as guest instructor, the Tango Society of Central Illinois is hosting milongas at the Phillips Recreation Center, 505 W Stoughton, Urbana IL. Here is the relevant info:
Fri Mar 10 8-9:30 PM - Pre-milonga workshop "Introduction to tango in close embrace" Alex Krebs, guest instructor. $15 ($10 students), includes admission to subsequent milonga. 9:30 PM - 1 AM: Milonga with Alex Krebs as DJ. Admission: $8. Sat Mar 11 8-9:30 PM - Pre-milonga workshop "The Secret of Vals Musicality and Feel" Alex Krebs, guest instructor. $25 ($15 students), includes admission to subsequent milonga. 9:30 Pm - 2 AM: Milonga with Alex Krebs as DJ. Admission: $10 Milonga Pass: $15 for both Friday & Saturday milongas - can be purchased Friday. Soft drinks and snacks will be provided as refreshments. In addition to our local tango community, we are expecting guests from Chicago, St Louis, Memphis, Iowa, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Indiana.
