Andres showed us the actual system that he uses to create ALL his tango steps impromptu as he dances (no choreography and no memorized figures). We did not just memorize steps like in most workshops. We learned how to create and even change the embrace on the "fly". Needless to say, we are now all very busy in our practicas, using this gift to work out the endless series combinations (250 or more based on simple consistant variations on 3 basic tango steps, forward, side, backward). This system works well in ALL STYLES OF TANGO (open, close, classic, nuevo..whatever.), so it is a very valuable tool to freshen up your dancing and add spontaneity to your style, no matter what it is. Andres is a very generous man and a wonderful soul. Meredith, of course, is his inspiration, and she is so beautiful when she dances with him, that tears comes to your eyes. Her background is in classical music...piano, so she can really makes her dancing work with the music, especially the melodies. Believe me, these people are magic.
