Many tango dancers from this part of the country have never had the opportunity to learn from Robert Hauk. He has never taught here before. Now he is coming here... to North Florida, within traveling distance for many people. It is your opportunity to learn from a man who has studied tango for 11 years and is a recognized authority in milonguero-style tango. He will tailor his teaching for the level of the students. These workshops are open to beginners and intermedaite dancers. Beginners are welcome and you don't need a partner. We are also very happy to present "Tango Sur" a first class tango orchestra lead by Fernando Teson, originally from Buenos Aires. "Tango Sur" will be playing tango music for your dancing pleasure on Saturday night from 9pm to midnight. Marsha and I have danced with "Tango Sur" before and we have enjoyed it immensely. Dancing to live tango music always provides an added dimension of enjoyment. And it is especially enjoyable to dance to the resonant, hearfelt sounds of "Tango Sur." You feel that this tango band is with you when you dance. They have a way of "tuning in" to the dancers and spontaneously creating music for the enrichment of the dancer's experience.
