Tango music and dance come to Stillwater, Oklahoma 4-8 April 2006! The festival's grand finale takes place Friday, 7 April and Saturday, 8 April, with two concerts by the internationally known music group QuinTango. Friday's Kick up Your Heels program at 7:30 p.m. includes exhibition tango dancers and a milonga following the concert. Saturday afternoon at 4:30 local tango dancers and musicians will participate on stage with QuinTango in an hour-long family-friendly concert. Both performances are at the Stillwater Community Center Auditorium. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Community Center at 405/533-8433 and leaving a message. Single event tickets are $8. Tickets to both events and the milonga can be purchased for $12. Students are admitted to the family concert for free with an adult. Other free activities during the week include chamber music workshops at the high school, a senior concert, and a concert for international students at OSU Student Union on Thursday evening.
