Two weeks left for The Chicago Mini Tango Festival with Susana Miller and Maria
Plazaola of Buenos Aires; Robert Hauk of Portland; and Ramu Pyreddy of Ann
Arbor. The festival will be held at the University of Chicago April 21-23,
2006.
Please come join us and the other people coming to the festival from around
the country. So far we have people coming to the festival from San Diego;
Minneapolis; Ann Arbor, Michigan; St. Louis; Grand Rapids, Michigan;
Champaign-Urbana, Illinois; Springfield, Missouri; Kansas City; Fairfield,
Marion, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mexico; Portland; Denver; Tampa; Cleveland;
and, of course, the Chicagoland area.
Saturday evening we will have a special treat with Chicagos own Bohemia
Quartet playing a live tango set at the milonga at the University of Chicago
and then continuing to play into the wee morning hours at the hard core milonga
that will be held at The American Tango Institute. The members of the Bohemia
Quartet are Conductor Gerador Perez on the Bandeon, Victoria Moreira on the
Viola, Pawel Checinski on the Piano, and Brian Doherty on the Bass. The Bohemia
Quartet are part of the larger Qrquesta Bohemia de Chicago that will be playing
at 1st International Tango Festival in Chicago to be give by the American Tango
Institute from August 24-27, 2006. For more information, please go to

There will be plenty of classes for the beginner dancer to the more advance
dancer, as well as a number of milongas. There will also be separate Teachers
Master Classes, for teachers and aspiring teachers, during the festival titled:
How to Teach Tango Milonguero, taught by Susan and Maria separate
reservations will be required and there are limited spots available.
We are also excited to have Diva Boutique, and Off The Hook Designs selling
shoes and clothing at the festival.

are dormitory style rooms with a single bed for $52/night and a queen bed for
