Class Topic: "Breathing with the Room" - We'll work with you on how to
adapt to changing "road conditions" as the "milonga weather" changes -
shifts in musical mood, changes in the crowding level - so that you can
maximize the pleasure for you & your partner while smoothly & considerately
integrating with other dancers. We'll roll out our famous "quality control"
devices to help prove to you your increasing skill level!
Besides our usual offerings at our milongas, we want to commemmorate the
specialness of this milestone. As a rite of passage, ending the reign of our
milongas at "Bantaba South" provokes a look back as well as a look ahead.
Over the last 9 years, we've taught thousands of people in our group
classes, given over a thousand private lessons, guided students, friends and
clients on 6 trips to Buenos Aires, & held almost 100 milongas at Bantaba
South, including our wedding reception - & all the while the Colorado tango
community was growing & changing around us. To commemorate the passage of
years, at this milonga we'll have a retrospective of the last 9 years of
tango in the local scene. Were hauling out selections from flyers, old
newsletters, photographs & assorted paraphernalia stretching back to 1997.
A TIDAL WAVE OF NEW MUSIC - For this looooong night of tango, we've
gotten a line on some great new music selections in very high quality
recordings that we're very excited to be sharing with you, in both
traditional & alternative styles. VARIOUS STIMULANT-BASED VICES LOVINGLY
CATERED TO!--- Given the special "marathon" nature of this milonga, we'll
have a variety of (legal!) stimulants (coffee, tea, etc.) available to help
you make it through the night.
THE FOOD JUST KEEPS ON COMING ---Well be putting a lot of the money from
the higher admission to this milonga toward an enhanced food service during
the night and early morning well be heading to the oven & the
refrigerator for frequent restocking of those kinds of little treasures that
help fuel you through a big night of dancing!
FOR THOSE WITH STAMINA...EASTER BREAKFAST!!The fabulous Walnut Cafe South,
about 30 feet from Bantaba's door, throws open its doors in welcome for us
at 7am. Their breakfasts & full-service java bar is so popular, they now
have 2 cafes catering to the discerning & ravenous Boulder appetite!
