BIOS:

Although only 30 years old, Andres Amarilla has already been a fixture
of the Buenos Aires milonga scene for 19 years. As a child and
teenager, he studied with and performed in the dance companies of
Gustavo Naveira, Juan Carlos Copes, and Rodolpho Dinzel. In the
1990s, he took part in the creation of "tango nuevo" as a participant
in weekly closed rehearsals organized by Fabian Salas, and attended by
Gustavo Naveira and Chicho Frumboli, among others. Andres has
performed in Buenos Aires milongas over 60 times, including 20
performances with the legendary Geraldine Rojas. Andres combines
traditional tango technique with "tango nuevo" steps to create a dance
that is exceptionally dynamic and fluid. His background in
traditional tango technique means that his teaching is applicable to
dancers of all styles.

Meredith Klein began dancing tango in Massachusetts in 1999. In April
2005, she moved to Buenos Aires to work with Andres and dedicate
herself to tango. Since beginning their first US tour in January
2006, Andres & Meredith have taught in 12 cities. More information
about Andres & Meredith is available at http://andresamarilla.com.
