Mariposa is a place for celebration. It started as a home to continue the
Friday night milongas, which began at Lake Street Gallery over 5 years ago.
"Milonga Vida" and "Los Besos Milonguita" continue that tradition, featuring
classic tango music, a festive atmosphere and a comfortable place to dance, be
with friends and meet new people. We have a 1,700 sq. ft. dance floor in a loft
space with south windows in a newly renovated building. There is free parking
next to the building and in the lot behind it. There are many diverse
restaurants, cafes and bars within 2 blocks west on Lincoln Avenue and 2 blocks
north on Irving Park. For a complete list of our milongas (including the new
Monday milongas), classes and other events, visit www.mariposachicago.com.
