  Tango History Lecture with rare tango videos By  Anton Gazenbeek
  From Buenos Aires, all the way to Washington DC! 

  Milongueros from 30s, 40s and 50s
  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to view rare, never before seen 
footage of authentic Argentine Milongueros from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. 
Films will be shown and historic background information and anecdotes will be 
given on each milonguero by historian,  anthropologist, and tango dancer Anton 
Gazenbeek. Historic styles of tango such as Salon, Orillero, Fantasia and 
Milonga will be discussed and the differences of each style will be explored in 
depth.  
  Images of Virulazo and Elvira will be shown as well as Antonio Todaro, Miguel 
and Nelly Balmaceda, Lampazo, Victor and La Rusa, and Dario and La Gallega in 
addition to many other unforgettable tango social dancers.
  This is a lecture that should not to be missed, its historical content is 
invaluable!

  Anton Gazenbeek is a world-renowned tango historian, anthropologist, and 
tango dancer with many years of in depth research and investigation experience 
into the roots of tango dance, history, and culture. He has studied tango like 
a scientist and has traveled as far as Japan, Korea, China, Japan, Argentina 
and the United States to give one-of-a-kind lecture full of historic value 
based on the history and evolution of tango. Anton is the owner of one of the 
largest and rarest tango video collections in the world. Anton & Natalie were 
recently invited to teach and give a lecture at the prestigious World Tango 
Festival 2006.

  8:30 pm Int/Adv level WORKSHOP: Figures of the milongueros from 30s, 40s, 
50s.  
  Also at 8:30 pm, we will offer a beginners tango class by Sergio Segura. 
  9:30 pm Int/Adv WORKSHOP: Tango Canyengue, also at 9:30pm  Beg. Class II.
  10:30 pm Anton & Natalie Dance exhibition, and milonga until midnight.

  One hour lecture $15, Workshops $25 each, Beginners Class $15
