The Berkeley Tango Studio Presents Classes in Argentine Tango
"Classico  and  Nuevo"  with
Mariana Dragone (May 16-23) & Jaimes Friedgen (May 19-22)

Mariana is well known and beloved in our tango community, having taught here many times in the past including Nora's Tango Week twice. She has also taught at the Portland Tango Festival and at festivals in Buenos Aires. Mariana is at the forefront of the new generation of female tango dancers. She has partnered in the past with "El Indio," the late Hernan Obispo, Fabrizio Forti, and most recently with Chicho Frumboli at the Sacramento Neo Tango Festival.

Jaimes Friedgen has recently returned from teaching in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. He has extensive experience in tango, theatre and other forms of dance and is a popular teacher and performer. He has taught in festivals throughout the U.S. He is particularly known for his musicality, creativity and "fierce animalistic intensity."

Thursday, May 18 Mariana teaching beginning and intermediate classes7-8:45 p.m. prior to the Mariposa Argentine tango milonga at the Verdi Club, 2424 Mariposa, SF. Milonga hosted by Christy Cote and Victor Meneses.
