Dance to the LIVE tango music of San Francisco's fabulous Trio Garufa, and take tango inspiration from workshops with Homer Ladas, in the City of Gardens, beautiful Victoria, B.C., Canada, September 15-17th!
Homer and his partner Andrea Fuchilieri will give five workshops, and members of the Trio Garufa will give another two lessons (as well as a Jam Session), over the weekend. The highlight of the Weekend will be the Grand Garufa Ball on Saturday, September 16th, with tango music played by the Trio Garufa, and performances by Homer and Andrea. A unique aspect of this already wonderful tango treat, will be the full participation of the musicians, not only playing for the Grand Ball (the normal routine for an event like this), but also giving their music and insights on all three days -- to say nothing of the Jam Session on Sunday, which any interested musician -- amateur or professional -- can join. Finally, the Closing "Surprise Milonga" on Sunday night will also include a musical bonus from the Trio. Packages are available, and special hotel rates for travellers have been arranged.
