Alejandro Scarpino is a master performer of the bandoneon and a pioneer of the
instrument in solo context. His most important contributions to tango are due
to the originality of his interpretation, his lyricism and masterful technique.
Alejandro was born in Argentina in 1936, the son of a very accomplished
musician and director of his own conservatory. Scarpino was exposed to music
at a very early age and began his bandoneon training at the age of seven.
Alejandro has appeared and stared in many productions throughout South, and
North America, and featured in an intimate place in the heart of San Telmo the
Capitol Of Tango within Argentina.
Alejandro Scarpino is a performer of strong character. The combination of his
intense facial expressions and sensitive yet aggressive touch creates a
dramatic stage presence not to be missed!!
