Victor Romero is a legendary tango dancer who started to dance at the age of
15. He was partner to the famous "La Rusa" an excellent tango dancer as well as
his current partner Norma Galli.
He appeared in the following movies and documentaries: Tango Mio, Tango Baile
Nuestro, El Acompanamiento, Diario para un Cuento, Doble o Nada, and Evita of
Allan Parker.
He gave exhibitons during the decades of 1950-1990 in all the most important
milongas of Buenos Aires and won many tango and milonga competitions in clubs
such as Salon Belgrano, Salon Agusteo, and El Dorado.
He lived and worked for one year in New York City from 1989 to 1990 where he
performed in the United Nations and gave exhibitions in many restaurants around
Manhattan and Queens.
In Buenos Aires he performed in all the major theaters: San Martin,
Cervantes, Astros, Alvear, Teatro de las Provincias, Opera, YPF, among many
others.
He is known as one of the few dancers alive today who still dances authentic,
pure Orillero style tango. It is a treat to see him dance!
