Join us next month when the Tango Club of Albuquerque presents a weekend with Laura Chummers & Tate Di Chiazza, December 1-3, 2006!
Registration flier is available now on our website: http://www.abqtango.org/special.html All classes are at the Lloyd Shaw Dance Center, 5506 Coal SE, map link at: http://www.abqtango.org/mapPage.html PLUS -- that weekend, we are also hosting our 2nd Annual Festive Holiday milonga (with a performance by Laura & Tate) in a large beautiful space at the Albuquerque Museum (http://www.cabq.gov/museum/). Laura & Tate strive to bring their students into that ³other dimension² unique to tango in which acute connection creates a sensation of delivery from one dancer to the other. They seek to achieve a lead so effective and emotive that the follower feels able and compelled to close her eyes, and conversely, a relaxed, confident, secure, and inspired follow/counter-lead who surprises her partner. Laura & Tate work to define and develop an understanding of the subtleties responsible for movement, connection, and sensibility to the music. Under their instruction you will revisit basic concepts in new ways to enable improvisation and expression to the music, ultimately making your dance more rich and complex.
