Hi Everyone.... Judy Margolis and Jon Martin, Americans who live and
perform in Buenos Aires, will be giving two - one and a half hour
workshops, Saturday afternoon, JAN. 27TH at the Mountain View Studio in
Woodstock, starting at 3p. The workshops are followed by an 8pm group
class for Beginners , preceding Woodstock Tango’s popular monthly
Milonga at 9pm, which attracts dancers from throughout the Hudson
Valley, NYC, the Capitol District, and Berkshires.
Judy & Jon describe their lives as ‘living and breathing tango’ and
believe the soul of tango is found between a man and a woman dancing on
a public floor. They are known for the intensity of their dance and for
their excellent social dance style. Judy and Jon are acclaimed for their
clear teaching technique and individual attention to students. They
believe that pasos (steps) are tools that help us learn technique which
frees us to explore the deeper meaning of the dance.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON WORKSHOPS:
3-4:30 Tango Essentials: Leaders & Followers - Secrets Of Technique for
Close Embrace. (Beginner to Experienced dancers.)
4:45-6:15pm - Understanding Linear And Rotational Movement; Dance With
Intention & Sentimiento. (Experienced dancers).
No partner or experience necessary. Bring smooth soled shoes.
SATURDAY EVENING MILONGA:
8-9pm Beginning Tango: Judy y Jon's Essentials of the Dance, especially
good for beginners, great fine-tuning for experienced dancers.
9p- 1am: MILONGA with Demo by Judy y Jon, Buffet, Door Prizes…
Milonga Only: $15, includes Lesson, The milonga includes the great
classic recordings of tango with salsa & swing break!
