Following up on my previous announcement, it gives me great pleasure to announce the 2007 Chicago Mini Tango Festival (www.chicagotangofestival.com ), from April 20-22, 2007. Pre-festival workshops will also be held on Thursday, April 19th. Pedro Tete Rusconi and Silvia Ceriani will be returning to the United States for the first time since 1998. Joining them as instructors will be Oscar and Mary Ann Casas, and Maximiliano Gluzman and Milva Bernardi. Tim and Joanne Pogros will also be teaching some free introductory classes for the non-tango dancer. Ernest Williams will be teaching a special canyengue class. Djs include Silvia Ceriani from Salon Canning in Buenos Aires , Robert Hauk from Portland and Somer Surgit from Chicago .
The festival will consist of three days of workshops and five milongas at the University of Chicago in the classic Hyde Park section of Chicago . There will also be Master Classes with Tete and Silvia during the festival separate reservations will be required.
