Casa de Practica is most fortunate to welcome two of the most sought
after dancers and teachers in the world of Argentine Tango - Jorge
Torres and Mariela Franganillo. This wonderful couple will teach and
perform, giving an experience I am quite certain will be one you will
cherish for a long time to come!
Those of you who studied with Mariela and Jorge in 2006 know what
wonderful and dedicated teachers they are.
Jorge Torres has an incredibly supple, catlike, velvety way of moving
and leading. He is not only a great performer, but a milonguero who
can teach you how to dance on as small a space as one tile of the
floor as it is done at the crowded milongas in Buenos Aires.
Mariela Franganillo, dancer, choreographer and producer, brings a
fresh enthusiasm for tango melded with polished skills, years of
experience and a legacy stetching back to the golden-era of tango.
You will also be able to see her perform as the lead dancer in Fusion
Tango at the Kodak Theatre on April 24.
