Hi, Tango Lovers,
QuinTango presents two shows in 8 performances at the Piccolo Spoleto
Festival in Charleston SC, 27 May - 2 June 2007. One show "Paris and
Latin Lovers" follows the tango from Buenos Aires to Paris; the
second "Viva Buenos Aires!" celebrates the tango's triumphant return
to Buenos Aires, tango's muse. Two fabulous dancers from Buenos Aires
perform on both concerts - Carina Losano & Anton Gazenbeek. Anton is
a dance historian as well as a phenomenal performer, so be prepared
for vintage Parisian costumes and delicious new narratives alongside
the eye-popping Neuvo Tango routines. The schedule alternates the
Paris and Buenos Aires concerts:
* 27 May 8 p.m. - Paris and Latin Lovers
* 28 May 6 p.m. - Viva Buenos Aires!
* 28 May 9 p.m. - Paris and Latin Lovers
* 29 May 6 p.m. - Viva Buenos Aires!
* 30 May 6 p.m. - Paris and Latin Lovers
* 30 May 9 p.m. - Viva Buenos Aires!
* 1 June 6 p.m. - Paris and Latin Lovers
* 2 June 2 p.m. - Viva Buenos Aires!
You can see them in either order - but try to see them both. It's a
long time between festivals and we are doing 8 shows so you can get
your tango fix all in one week. Shows will be at Footlights Theatre,
20 Queen Street, the 200+ seat theatre in the heart of historic
Charleston where so many of you first heard us.
