Directly from her native Buenos Aires, vocalist Katie Viqueira offers a great night of Argentine music, featuring her latest blend of jazz-inflected contemporary Tango, Candombe, Milonga and Chacarera. Assisted by the trio of pianist/arranger Nando Michelin, Bass player, Fernando Huergo, drummer Bertram Lehmann, and Tango dancers Gloria Cepeda and Pepe Rojo from Argentina. Katie Viqueira in "Tierra Tango" sets out to trace her musical roots "without sensationalism, without fake emotionality, but with just the right amount of passion and highly sophisticated arrangements" (Jazzpodium).
