OMAR VEGA, teacher of teachers in milonga traspie, is back in New York after
touring Europe and South America. Under his new banner, TangoVital, (tango
vee-tal), he kicks off his New York class offerings with this multi-level
class, which includes exercises in traditional tango technique to help you
dance elegantly and naturally, and gain the musicality needed for the rhythmic
variation of traspie. Beautiful, spacious studio with wood floor. Class size
limited, register now.

OMAR VEGA, a Buenos Aires native, has been dancing and teaching tango since the
1980s, and studied with the masters and old milongueros of Buenos Aires. His
major influence was the late Tango maestro Pepito Avellaneda, and Omar was one
of his principal disciples. He was featured at Il Giardino del Tango in Rome
and at Tuscany Tango in Monte San Savino, Italy in Summer 07 and was one of the
few maestros selected to teach in the prestigious Congreso de Tango Argentino
(CITA) in Buenos Aires in March 2007. Omar has taught and performed throughout
the United States and Europe as well as Buenos Aires. He danced in the feature
film, The Tango Lesson, and has produced several outstanding instructional
videos.
