LeRoy Hearon & Phoebe J. Grant, of WindyCityTango, Unlimited will teach the pre-milonga tango class from 8:00-9:00 p this Thursday - October 25, 2007, at Cafe Duvall (2257 West 23rd Place, Chicago). Just returned from North America's largest and most popular tango event, the Portland TangoFest, Phoebe and LeRoy have lots of stories and memories to relate – not to mention new movements!
LeRoy & Phoebe also will teach the pre-milonga class on Thurs., Nov. 1. Their two classes, accessible to All Levels definitely also will challenge more advanced dancers. The class is $10; the milonga is $10 ... OR - $15 for both the Class & Milonga each week. New Extended Winter Hours for Milonga Loca: Milonga Loca will take place 9:00 p-1:00 a following the class Thursday. Please note that the class and milonga each begin a half hour earlier: the class at 8:00 p and the milonga at 9:00 p. No more hunting for a parking spot! Please use the new parking lot - a half block west of the Cafe in the De La Cruz Math/Science Academy Parking Lot on 23rd Place. By renting the parking lot, Cafe Duval is providing both parking for patrons as well as much needed funding to a school in desperate need of dollars for school supplies. Part of your milonga cover charge is directly helping neighborhood elementary school students. Every Thursday: Milonga Loca hosted by Bill and Nina, 9:00 p – 1:00 a. Cover charge: $10. Short delicious menu. Cover charge includes free bottled water and parking. One-hour tango lesson with Nina (or guest instructors LeRoy & Phoebe on Oct. 25 & Nov. 1) at 8:00 p. Lesson cost: $10 – Milonga entry an additional $5 if you take the class. (Nina is in Buenos Aires until Thanksgiving). Saturday classes with Daniel and Ramona: 2:00-3:00 p - Tango Movement Technique ($10); 3:00-4:30 p - Choreography series ($15) - a partner is highly recommended.
