Dear friends of Tango, we announce the 8th International Tango Festival Berlin, taking place from 9 to 12 May 2008 (Whit Sunday) in the context of the partnerships between Berlin and Buenos Aires under the auspices of the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, and with support of the embassy of the Republic of Argentina.
Every night there is a Tangoball with live music and dance shows. The opening will be in the ballroom of the red bricks civil hall of Berlin. Our invited Tango dancers will teach you in 45 workshops in different levels. During the day there is a Tangocafé in Ballhaus Rixdorf where all workshops take place. Due to the enormous number of dancers at the last festival, we are happy to offer a second ballroom in the Ballhaus for the dancers. On Saturday night the guests could dance on a floor of more than 800 m².
