OMAR VEGA is a careful and charismatic teacher,
and an exemplary salon dancer. He has been one
of the strongest creative forces in the tango
revival in Buenos Aires. He has been dancing and
teaching tango since the 1980s. He studied with
the maestros and old milongueros in Buenos Aires,
and his major influence was the late Pepito Avellaneda.
Omars style is based on the traditions of
dancing figures that fit the space, and
interpreting the music improvisationally. He is
internationally famous for his extremely rhythmic
style of dancing tango and milonga traspie. He
is unsurpassed in the small, intricate steps that
make tanmgo an expressive and passionate experience.
