understanding of the aesthetics, body dynamics and discipline that support the
dancing of tango.

self-reflection and learning in collaboration with a group. Founded in
conjunction with Maria Celia Arias, Tangotherapy™ comes from the essence of
dance: from the natural, organic and spontaneous movements occurring in humans’
daily life. It is a corporal technique, interrelating Art (via dance) and

Humberto Décima andElizabeth Olivera’s Methodology, Themes and Concentrations
   All Classes begin with stretching, relaxation and coming in contact with
your own body. In each class we will work on:
* Elements of technique necessary for the theme of that particular class;
* Posture, the walk, and different forms of the embrace;
* Sensibility, connection and communication with your dancing partner;
* The specific characteristics of each role: the follower and the leader;
* We will analyze in detail how to communicate with your partner to create
certain moves or sequences, without dancing from memory, but from the mark;
* Sequences and choreographic ideas most commonly used in each of the styles;
* The structure of the music, rhythm and musicality; and,
* Improvisation and creativity within your dance.
It is always recommended you come accompanied by a partner so you can have the
maximum benefit of the class, although we endeavor to rotate and facilitate
obtaining a partner if necessary.
