The School of Traditional Argentine Tango is pleased to present the Women of
Tango, an interactive, multi-media lecture on the most important female tango
dancers of the past 80 years. Through anecdotes and rare, historical films, we
take a journey into the history of tango showcasing the most important and
influential female dancers in the history of this dance. From Carmencita
Calderon to Maria Nieves and Milena Plebs, these are the very women who shaped
this dance. Rare images from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, this is a lecture not
to be missed as we discover these important women's contributions to tango.
