DeSarge Danceworld in Naperville announce
Milonga & Workshops with Pablo Alonso Sunday Oct. 26th
DeSarge Danceworld is pleased to host two special tango workshops taught by
guest Argentine tango instructor Pablo Alonso and a milonga immediately
following on Sunday, Oct. 26th at DeSarge Danceworldin Naperville. Pablo, who
now teaches in London is a former
assistant to Osvaldo Zotto in Buenos Aires. We will host two workshops given
by Pabloand a milonga that Sunday evening in our studio in Naperville.
Private lessons with Pablo Alonso are also available at our studioby
appointment only on Thursday Oct. 23rd and Sunday Oct. 26th (call
630-355-1188 to reserve your time).
WORKSHOP 1: Technique Tango 6:00-6:55 PM
* Introduction to men and women's technique, followed by tools for
improvisation.
* Part 1 will focus on technique exercises for men and women, trying to
achieve a more comfortable and easy leading/following experience while dancing
tango.
* Part 2 will be focus improvisation tools.
Elements such as connection, phrasing, walkings and turns, will bestudied in
the context of tango moves. Embellishment ideas will also be
introduced.
WORKSHOP 2: Milonga, Traspie, and Vals 7:00-7:55 PM
* Milonga de traspie and Vals cruzado
* This workshop will be dedicated to the difference between milonga
"simple" and "de traspie", as well as understanding the concept of vals cruzado.
MILONGA! 8:00 PM until ???
Cost for 1 workshop includes free milonga: $20
Cost for both workshops includes free milonga: $40
Cost for milonga only: $15
Snacks and refreshments provided -- BYOB
