New York City: (Jan. 25, 2009) - After 7 years of deep investigation and 
research, the tango historian and author Anton Gazenbeek presents an in-depth 
book on the history of the acclaimed Broadway show Tango Argentino, complete 
with rare, never before seen backstage photographs, memorabilia from the show 
and fascinating inside stories taken directly from personal interviews with the 
cast.

Tango Argentino is the international show responsible for the worldwide 
renaissance of Argentine Tango, debuting in Paris, conquering Broadway and the 
whole world, this show had more influence on theater, music, dance, fashion, 
hair, makeup, and many more fields than any other cultural phenomenon of the 
last 20 years.

Author Anton Gazenbeek is a highly respected tango historian, performer, 
teacher, and choreographer  who regularly lectures on the history of Argentine 
Tango.  The Book Release party will include a  tango performance by Mr. 
Gazenbeek and  renowned tango performer Gayle Madeira, and a video presentation 
with clips from the Tango Argentino show.
