to Chicago to teach Classes, Workshops and Private Lessons March 4 thru 10,  
2009

March 1st, $155) including Monday’s Practonga

    Claudio Villagra belongs to a new generation of professional dancers in 
Argentina, continuously exhibiting his versatility and virtuosity.  He studied 
dance at theSchool of Art of the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, with teachers 
ranging from his grandfather Hector Contrera to Aurelio Juan, Juan Carlos 
Copes, Virulazo,
Antonio Todaro, Pepito Avellaneda, Gloria y Eduardo, the Dinzels, and N. 
Guichanduc.  
    After beginning his career with major tango shows in Buenos Aires and 
touringArgentina with Sabor a Tango and Sexteto Sur, Claudio has appeared on
major stages of the world, including Broadway theaters, the Olympia in 
Paris,Luna Park, Astral and Cervantes in Buenos Aires, and the Auditorio 
Nacional and
the Teatro Bellas Artes in Mexico.  Claudio has toured throughout the U.S., 
Brazil, and Central America with A. Calo’s Tango Review and toured Japan in 
Piazzolla by Piazzolla’s Tango 2000. He performed with Nueva Compañía Tangueros 
in Italy and Tango Fatal in Chile. As a member of Buenos Aires Tango he 
traveled throughout China. In Switzerland, Claudio danced in Tango Metropolis.  
He also has worked with renowned orchestras like that of Osvaldo Pugliese, 
Mariano Mores, El Arranque and others.  
    Claudio’s most distinguished partners have been Guillermina Quiroga, Miriam 
Larici, Siliva Toscano, Mora Godoy, Leticia Falliacara, Karina Piazza, Cecilia 
Narova, Natalia Hills, and today he partners the very delightful Romina Levin - 
for years the partner of legendary Miguel 'Angel' Zoto, forming one of the most 
prestigious tango dancing partnerships, performing in a wide variety of styles 
such as tango salon, fantasia and traditional tango as well as moremodern and 
innovative ones. 
     He has been the featured dancer in such shows as Luis Bravo’s Forever 
Tango (in 1997) and Malambo (in 2008) as well as Tango Seduccion and Tanguera. 
Claudio directed and choreographed his own show, Latin Tango.  Claudio was a 
member of the National Ballet of Argentina and a representative of diverse
dance institutions promoting tango throughout world.  He has represented the 
government of Argentina in diverse events both nationally andinternationally.

The schedule of Classes and Workshops with Claudio Villagra and Romina Levin is 
being finalized, but this is the outline:
NOTE: “All Levels” does NOT mean “beginners”’ – Claudio and Romina will work 
with and challenge every and all dancers!!!
Casual showcase on Thursday, March 5th at Bill Duvall and Nina Tatarowicz's 
"Milonga Loca" (location TBA).
Pre- milonga / practonga Classes (Friday and Monday) are $20 ea ($15 w/ 
pre-registration); NOT including Milonga entry and not eligible for any 
discounts, rebates or other special offers. Saturday and Sunday Workshops are 
$30 for the first, without pre-registration and pre-payment.  Pricing, with 
WCT’s incremental discounts, follows list of workshops and classes, but ALL 7 
for $170 IF pre-paid ($155 if paid prior to March 1st!!!!) and you can use 
PayPal®. Also, those travelling more than 60 miles each way should ask Phoebe 
about a ‘gas rebate’ discount.
Friday, March 6 before a milonga ($20 walk-in; $15 with pre-registration; $10 
if included in total of pre-paid package): 
  7:15–8:45 p - a special 1.5 hour Class for All Levels, ”Figures and Sequences 
for the Salon”. 
Saturday, March 7 at a location to be determined: 
  1:00–2:30 p for All Levels, ”Colgadas”;
  2:45–4:15 p for All Levels, “Milonga: Figures for the Rhythm”; and,
  4:30–6:00 p for Intermediate Level, ”Vals: Sequences with the Rhythm”.
Sunday, March 8 at Ritz Tango Cafe (933 N Ashland Ave, Chicago):
  1:00–2:30 p for All Levels, ”Barridas and Sacadas”;
  2:45–4:15 p for Intermediate Plus Level, ”Figures and Sequeces for 
Performances” - entrance to this workshop requires pre-approval by Claudio 
and/or Romina and/or Phoebe; and,
  4:30–6:30 p for All Levels, an abbreviated Opposites Attract Practica ($5 or 
free with 1 paid workshop or private lesson with Claudio and Romina). 
Monday, March 9 before a unique Opposites Attract practonga at Ritz Tango Cafe 
(933 N Ashland Ave, Chicago): 
  7:30–9:00 p for All Levels, ”Volcadas” ($20 walk-in; $15 with 
pre-registration; $10 if included in total of pre-paid package); 
  followed by Opposites Attract practonga, 9:00–11:30 p; entrance topractonga 
$10, but Practonga is free to anyone taking at least one paid workshop
and/or or private lesson with Claudio and Romina, March 4-10, 2009.

** We strongly recommend respect for the level designated for each class / 
workshop. 
** It is not required to come with a partner, but it is recommended to 
pre-register for all classes / workshops so we can better balance lead vs. 
follow. We will encourage rotation of partners, but you are also allowed to 
stay with your own partner aslong as you choose. 
** Pleaseallow at least 15 minutes before class to check in, register, and warm 
up. 
** WCT and/or Claudio and Romina reserve the right to change any class/workshop 
title or level or to cancel without adequate attendance. Please call Phoebe at
