The three-member band, led by Miguel Di Genova, plays original songs inspired by early tango recordings, samplings of which give Otros Aires its signature style. The upbeat rhythms infused with electronics have energized audiences in Buenos Aires and such European cities as Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and Barcelona. Di Genova credits living in Spain for his rediscovery of his musical roots in tango. Pianist Diego Ramos and Omar Massa, who plays the bandoneón, also returned to tango after classical music training. Says Massa, When youre born in Buenos Aires, you dont come to tango, tango comes with you. Otros AiresSpanish for Other Windsbreathes fresh, danceable sounds into traditional tango music. Theory & put into practice: During these seminars Otros Aires play a tango and all the different rhythms that that specific tango includes. Musicians help attendees understand the Marcato using diverse techniques. Attendees finish not only understanding the marcato- music but they also dance along with the rhythms and beats taught. This seminar is very entertaining, full of musical knowledge to help dancers understand the marcato and extremely practical, since it encourages the audience active participation and involvement. Note: This seminar is dedicated to the Tango dancer and DJs that would like to fully understand every aspect of the musicality of Tango.
