Forwarding this for Tango Affair, Boston
--------------------------------------------------

September 25-27, 2009: TangoAffair is pleased to announce show and workshops
with Argentine Tango Masters and 'Forever Tango' Stars

***Oscar Mandagaran and Georgina Vargas of Buenos Aires***

This is the first time that Oscar and Georgina will be in Boston. While also
excellent show dancers, Oscar and Georgina focus in their teaching on material
that is most useful for social dancing. By minimizing the steps they focus on
the more challenging elements of technique that bring the dancing of their
students all together to a higher level. Oscar’s ebullient and warm
personality, remarkable and unceasing passion for tango and genial manners make
studies with him most enjoyable and inspiring. Georgina is famous for her
unique cat-like, sexy way of moving, the secrets of which she is always ready
to share with her students.

1) ABOUT OSCAR AND GEORGINA

Together since 2006, Oscar and Georgina are one of the most exciting, sensual
and passionate couples in Argentine tango today. Their style embodies all the
elegance, grace and romance we associate with tango. They are special guest
artists at the Esquina Carlos Gardel, home of the most prestigious tango show
in Buenos Aires. Radiating connection to each other and to the music, they
create these unforgettable moments for which we love tango. In their teaching
Oscar and Georgina focus on the quality of the movement, its magnetic density
and elasticity, as well as on the connection between partners and ability of
expressing the 'mood' of different tango orchestras. Together they have
created a series of instructional DVDs (Romantic Tango, Rhythmic Tango, and
Oscar and Georgina's Tango Secrets I and II). Currently they are on an
eight-month-long teaching and performing tour in the US.

Oscar Mandagaran starred on Broadway in 'Forever Tango' and toured with the
show for seven years. He danced with the 'Forever Tango' cast in the show
'Malambo', in the Carlos Saura's film 'Tango', and has performed in major
cities all over the world. One of the most hailed teachers internationally,
Oscar is particularly beloved for his exuberant personality and his ability to
teach passion and emotion of Tango, imparting secrets that help each student
discover his/her own unique quality as a dancer. Georgina Vargas began dancing
tango professionally at the age 19. In addition to Tango she obtained training
in ballet, neo-classical and contemporary dance, as well as dance pedagogy. She
founded the Company Con Sabor a Tango which toured Europe, Japan and Asia. She
has performed in major Tango shows in Argentina, Italy and Japan and has taught
around the world. In 2001 she produced Noches Argentinas in Tokyo, Japan, for
which she received special
recognition by the Argentine Embassy in honor of her spectacular performance
and her role in presenting Tango to the world. Georgina is an accomplished
tango singer and in 2006 she recorded her first CD, Por Aquellos Tangos.
