Anton Gazenbeek is one of the youngest and most talented tango dancers in the United States at the moment and one of the few tango dance historians in the world. He will be teaching an intermediate class from 2 to 3pm, followed by a practica until 5pm. All his material is authentic and comes from the "Tango Preservation Project", the largest tango video archives in the world with no other dance techniques influences. Here will be teaching sequences, figures and technique from the masters Antonio Todaro, Pepito Avellaneda, El Aleman, Puppi Castello, Virulazo, Victor “El Gitano” among others.

The fundamentals are designed under the PEMC System: Precision, Elegance, Musicality and Creativity are all required to dance tango properly. This 3 month course will give you all the basic KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING about tango dance and a strong basis to progress and execute complex moves and sequences. Fund "A" - 2 to 3pm – Posture, embrace, basic structures, musicality, and introduction to the “system” of improvisation and creativity. Fund "B" - 3 to 4pm – Forward & back ochos, paradas, arrastres and embellishments. More about the PEMC. Fund "C" - 4 to 5pm – Back and forward boleos, ganchos, quebradas and medialunas Fundamentals are one the most successful methods to learn Argentine Tango. Sergio Segura is well-known for giving very detailed explanations, paying a lot of individual attention to the students and giving constant corrections. Courses are monthly and start the 1st Saturday of the month at 2pm and the 1st Monday of the month at 7pm.
