We’re having very exciting Argentine Tango workshops on Saturday,
April 17, 2010, at Viva Ballroom in Lawrenceville, NJ, with visiting
Argentine tango performers/instructors Claudio & Diana from Mar del
Plata, Argentina.
Claudio is the founder of the New Tango School. He and Diana both will
be teaching their personal style of tango which includes the
disciplines of open and close embrace to create a particular and
unmistakable style of dancing while using innovative teaching methods
to accelerate the process of learning the dance. Breaking out from
rigid sequences, their workshops provide ways to develop
improvisational skills through the use of simple yet dynamic exercises
which leads the students to explore ways to develop an easy, relaxed
style of dancing. The communication takes place between the dancers
through the use of their bodies. Both are excellent teachers, very
patient, thorough and accessible, and you will enjoy learning their

Lawrenceville is located about six miles south of Princeton. The
milonga is located right on (Business Route 1). It is easy to find
with plenty of parking.

Time: 1:00-2:25PM Tango Fundamentals: Vittoria & Guillermo
This workshop is for people who are new to Tango or those who want to
brush-up on their basics. This workshop will be taught in a circle,
rotation in a counter-clock wise direction, using the outer perimeter
of the dance floor. This will also help the student learn navigation
and floor-craft.
This class will present dancing the Argentine Tango in close embrace
style of the Milonguero/a. Weight Changes, The Art of the Tango walk,
Finding your Axis, and how to move within the cadence of the music.
Understanding the direction of the dance. The key concept of this
workshop is to move with liquid motion from spot to spot with the
utmost elegance and without bumping into other people or blocking the
line of dance, on the dance floor.

In this workshop you will learn the latest trends in Argentine Tango.
Every year techniques are revised and changed completely. New
techniques bring motivation and contribute to change. They inspire us
to dance tango more frequently without becoming bored. Years ago men
danced together to become better dancers and to discover new ways to
dance. Today both men and women do the same.
