Hi Everyone, 6th Annual Tangosutra Festival October 22-24, 2010 Washington DC
For the first time, a track of classes for musicians entitled "How to build a sextet in your backyard" for those learning to play tango for social dancing has been added to the festival. This series of lessons taught by S <http://tangobarrio.com/tangosutra.html#SergioAlessandroBuslje> ergio Alessandro Busjle, Director of the Pan American Symphony Orchestra, and Alex Krebs is committed to growing live tango music for social dancing. Track D is designed to give musicians the 'tools' to form their own groups locally and begin practicing, eventually performing. Additionally, there will be rehearsals over the course of the weekend culminating with a concert led by Alex Krebs. If you are interested in Track D and playing with the sextets, please contact Megan Miller via [email protected] <mailto:tangobarrio@maccom> for more information.
