Next week, the 2014 Chicago Mini Tango Festival in memoriam to Enriqueta Kleinman will begin (April 10 -13, 2014). The cut-off date for discounted prices at the Rosemont Hilton and the ALoft hotel is tomorrow, April 3, 2014. Online reservations for Festival passes ends, Sunday, April 6, 2014.
The instructors for the CMTF include 2013 Tango World Champions - Maximiliano Cristiani and Jesica Arfenoni; Alicia Pons and Luis Rojas; Marcela Duran; Oscar Casas and Ana Miguel; and Christopher Nassopoulos and Marian Fresno. DJs include Argentinians Vivi La Falce, Mariana Fresno, and Hernan Prieto; and Christopher Nassopoulos, Ray Barbosa, Ashvin Iyer, and Jae Youn. Live music has been added to the Friday evening milonga with Richard Scofano and the Chicago Tango Orchestra. The Saturday evening milonga will have a memoriam to Enriqueta Kleinman with dance exhibitions. Entry to the Friday and Saturday milongas can be done by the purchase online of a Milonga Pass or by individual entry to the Friday or Saturday milonga. At this point , in order to maintain gender balance, no single Follower workshop pass is available. Leader passes and couple passes are still available. There is still availability in the Intensive Beginner program created by Enriqueta Kleinman, and taught by Christopher Nassopoulos with Mariana Fresno.
