Hi All, I've been working on improving Wine's support for alpha channel in icons, image lists etc., and my patches should be inserted within the next few weeks.
This is all a prelude to my end goal, which is to give wine a complete tango compliant icon refresh. In the long run wine would be themable via the msstyles mechanism, which hasn't yet been implemented. In the meantime I want to improve the quality and consistency of wine's icons, and produce something that will become a fallback for later theming. This website shows my progress so far: http://www.airwebreathe.org.uk/wine-icon/ As you can see many of the icons are simple copies from the Tango base set, while a few others I could only find in Gnome's set, which is also Tango compliant. I think what I have here is definitely an improvement, but there's lots more that could be done. There are many holes, where I couldn't find icons to use, so I'm wondering if anyone is willing to help me find, or draw for me icons to fill those holes. Also, I don't think the programs icons are a very good job on my part. Can anyone here do any better? shell32.dll and user32.dll icons need only be 16, 32, and 48px, while 16, 22, 32, 48 and scalable would be desirable for the programs. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? Would anyone like to work with me on this? Thanks a lot Joel Holdsworth _______________________________________________ Tango-artists mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/tango-artists
