Families and friends of the 194 people who died in the club fire three years ago will be gathering today in Plaza de Mayo.
That tragedy initiated the investigation and inspection of every club, restaurant, and milonga in Buenos Aires and new fire regulations were established. Some say that the milongas were never the same afterwards. The no-smoking law was long overdue. No one thought it would be enforced, but it has been in effect since October 1, 2006. Smokers (a minority in most milongas) are accustomed to it. The milongas are better for everyone without smoke. _______________________________________________ Tango-L mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/tango-l
