It is common for a beginner to think that the vals beat is not difficult. It just indicates that you are doing the neophyte's count of 1 2 3. When you become more experienced and go to the more challenging 2 3 1 or 3 1 2 counts vals becomes an entirely different ballgame. M> It's just that the Tango steps can't fit into it...
