David, There is not a lot of information about Cafe Hansen because it was demolished in 1912 but it was evidently one of the hangouts of the renowned El Cachafaz. Supposedly there was a contest there between Cachafaz and his reputed black rival, another famous dancer of the era, El Negro Santillan, which Cachafaz won.
