no problem Jack...

my point was that the 'segregation' in BsAs is not as rigid as it is sometimes
made out to be.... i've been living in BsAs for 6 months now... during that
time, i've seen many well mannered younger dancers attend traditional milongas
and dance a style that is too often denigrated simply based on the style, even
when it is done with respect to the ronda and with good floor craft... and i've
also seen a great deal of milonguero style and salon style dancing at the
practicas... and, yes, i've also experienced a fair amount of bad floor craft
displayed by leads from all styles.

i have to take offense to the CITA dancers, generally, being referred to as
'vandals' who conspired over coffee one evening and 'invaded' Nino Bien on some
kind of statement of defiance and arrogance. The festival was planned well in
advance... obviously with the full cooperation of both the Nino Bien organizers
and the Centro Region Leonesa management.

Was the feel of Nino Bien different on the Thursday of CITA week than the rest
of the year? Absolutely. But consider any city that has hosted a major
sporting event, or a political convention. The influx of a large group always
changes the flavor of the venues for the 'locals'.

Tango is limited to a very small group of people as a percentage of the
population, even in BsAs. Instead of promoting 'segregation' and continuing to
further fracture an already small group into smaller and smaller groups, I'd
much rather see the same effort put into expanding tango, growing it in the
general population, and supporting many of the venues, instructors, musicians
and DJ's who are very good at what they do and struggle to make the business
side of tango work.

Tony, sorry, I replied too quickly and I now realise
that that's what you actually wrote.

Sorry.

Sorry, but that isn't in the least "more accurate".

The same is true for most other milonga venues and it's the name of

milonga that's important, not the name or address of the
