That is how it was taught to me by Ney Melo and Jennifer Bratt. In my own words, I would describe it as 'slightly' more CBM (contra-body motion) WITH/TOO the music, while still maintaining all other proper AT posture and walking technique. (A smooth, elegant walk would be a prerequisite of course.) It adds more sense of 'feeling' and subtle styling to the dance. Quite nice.
More physically challenging? Yes, of course until after it has been practiced and nicely integrated into your dance. I required a fair amount of demonstrating/coaching from Ney and direct feedback from Jennifer to 'get it,' and then lots of practice. (And all of that AFTER a lot of work on my WALK.) ~ El Stevito de Gainesville _______________________________________________ Tango-L mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/tango-l
