Ernest Williams first discovered Tango in 2000. With Argentina's Fernando
Filipelli as his first instructor it quickly became a lifestyle. Other tango
influences are George Garcia (HI), Sharna Fabiano (DC), Carina Losano (DC),
Facundo Posadas, Susana Miller (BA), Cecilia Gonzales (BA), Marta Anton & "El
Gallego" Manolo (BA) and a host of lesser known gems in Montevideo and Buenos
Aires including candombe dancers and musicians in Uruguay. His unique and fun,
rhythmic style reflects all of these influences as well as salsa, his study in
the African roots of tango and his own African-American heritage. Ernest's
style can best be described as tango Bien Argentino, Bien Ritmico, Bien Alegre,
Bien Negro, (very Argentine, very rhythmic, very fun, very black,
He is constantly innovating new and unique concepts to challenge all levels of
dancers to think outside of the box. A graduate of the "Master para Maestros"
program at La Escuela Argentina del Tango in Buenos Aires, Ernest's teaching
style is clear and detailed, and his profound knowledge of the many forms of
Tango make him an ideal instructor for both the beginner and the advanced
tanguero.

TANGOCOATL: Tango Seminar in Puerto Vallarta

Join us for an unforgettable week in the heart of Puerto Vallarta! During the
day you will attend tango workshops with Cecilia Gonzales and Paulo Araujo,
musicality classes with Blas Rivera, and introductory sculpting classes with
Manuel Palos. Then, meet the local tangueros at evening milongas.
Most classes will be held at the Hotel La Rosita, one of the oldest hotels in
town, located right in the heart of Puerto Vallarta, on the beach, where the
famous Malecon (boardwalk) begins.
