Saya pakai Mandrake, RedHat dan Knoppix
di Mandrake, saya coba drakxtv, tapi bagian 'area' tidak terdapat
Indonesia...
trus di RedHat masih belum tahu caranya, juga di Knoppix.

channel pakai china broadcast
kl pk xawtv, colordepth desktop pakai high (16 bit)
kl vganya nvidia dan mau aplikasinya xawtv, jangan pakai driver versi 4496 keatas,
pakai yang 4349 aja.
saran, pakai tvtime saja yang lancar dgn driver nvidia manapun dan bisa fullscreen
(cari rpm-nya di freshrpms.net) walau memakai resource sedikit lbh berat.
yg penting edit dulu /etc/modules.conf , sesuai uraian yg panjang dibawah (dulu saya
dpt dari milis ini)
step2nya saya pakai untuk redhat (termasuk fedora & lorma), mandrake, slackware, dan
knoppix hasilnya lancar (hanya saja pd bbrp distro ada yg dah dikasih menu konfigurasi
sendiri).
untuk knoppix, kl gak salah ada xawcfg atau xawconfig (ketik aja xaw dan tekan tab 2
kali)
untuk mandrake 9.1, bisa langsung dari hardware managernya asal input jenis cardnya
dan tunernya tepat.

editlah /etc/modules.conf dan tambahkan baris seperti berikut
options bttv pll=1 radio=0 card=0 gbuffer=4
5. Pada Bagian 'card=0' ganti angka '0' sesuai dengan nama tuner card dari daftar
berikut. Sebagai contoh tuner card yang dipakai (PV951) adalah bernomor 42 maka
'card=42'.

83. Set tipe chip-tunernya sesuai daftar (contoh pada PV951TF chip-tunernya adalah
Philips PAL_I maka 'type=1'). Untuk mengetahui chip-tunernya bisa dilihat di manual tv
tuner tersebut.

125. Agar tuner dapat mengeluarkan suara maka modul tvaudio harus di load. Edit
file /etc/modules, tambahkan modul 'tvaudio' setelah modul 'bttv'.
