devfs salah satu solusi, tapi tetap tidak akurat
untuk HARDWARE raid.
Terkecuali driver specific (/proc/driver/*) punya info detail
tentang "physical raid layout" untuk tiap raid logical disk,
compaq smartarray saja hanya list logical raid disks, kapasitas &
serta jenis raid yang digunakan...

2 logical drives with RAID1 -> belum tentu mirror dengan 2 hd,
c0d0 adalah raid1 redundant 4 hd, begitupula dengan c0d1,
total 8 hd untuk c0 (controller 0).
Atau bisa juga (kalo nggak pake devfs) di lihat di /proc/devices bagian
Block devices (tinggal dibuang aja bagian yg nggak perlu)
prompt:~# cat /proc/devices
...
Block devices:
1 ramdisk
2 fd
3 ide0
22 ide1
Tapi tetap require anda memprobe ide0 untuk hda & hdb kan?
kalau tidak gimana tau ada berapa disk/cd/tape yang terpasang?
