Prolog, sewaktu pakai samba bawaan redhat9, saya bisa mount
home directory dari mesin winxp, namun setelah saya menggantinya
dg samba-3.0.21b (install dr souce code), saya tidak bisa lagi
masuk ke home directory. Konfigurasi smb.conf minimal boleh
dikatakan sama dg yg lama, dan entri [homes] sbb:
[homes]
comment = Home Directories
browseable = yes
writable = yes
Note: Waktu pakai samba rpm redhat9, parameter browseable adalah no,
saya ubah jadi yes agar bisa kelihatan folder yg dishare.
Sebelumnya saya sudah pakai smbpasswd untuk add user baik untuk
user nobody maupun saya sendiri.
Saat browse mesin samba, sudah muncul shared folder homes di
explorer winxp, saat saya klik kanan untuk membuat map network
drive dan kemudian setup untuk connect dg username yg berbeda
lantas muncul warning "The drive could not be mapped because
no network was found."
Saat lihat log.compaq (dimana compaq adalah nama mesin winxp):
smbd/service.c:make_connection_snum(663)
'' does not exist or permission denied when connecting to [homes] Error was
No such file or directory

Saya jadi berpikir (sambil garuk2 kepala) apa ada option untuk
configure yg kurang? Pakai option ini sewaktu configure samba.
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/samba --with-smbmount --with-winbind
