You should be able to use a different proxy server with these lines in
your profile/user.js. You need to restart ZD after the change.

user_pref(”network.proxy.http_port”, <your proxy server port>);
user_pref(”network.proxy.type”, 1);
user_pref("network.proxy.no_proxies_on", "localhost, 127.0.0.1");
