All,
I've been watching the checkins and seen some things
come in that looked suspiciously like new validation
stuff. Is it in a state where I could check it out
(and expect it might work)? I've just added support
for doing validation using the new Hibernate
validation annotations. If I could just plug this
into the Tapestry ValidationDelegate stuff to display
the fields that are in error, it would be wonderful.
So I wanted to see what's in there for 4.0.
I've heard some murmurings (I thought) about being
able to have displayNames on more components than just
ValidField, or is that just wishful thinking on my
part? Basically, this is what I need for Trails. I
receive a validation exception from the persistence
layer. I need to then look up FieldTrackings by their
displayName so I can set them to be in error. So I'm
trying to see if that will be easier/possible in 4.0.
