I don't know if this is something you should be aware of or not but doing a "Checkout as project" with the latest supclipse (subversion plugin for eclipse) produce an unusable project till you run the first ant build. I think this is caused by not having the dependencies in the repository, so letting ant download them and then refresh the eclipse project do the trick.
