Perhaps my use cases are different, but I almost always use OGNL expressions for parameter values in the HTML spec. Of course, I don't for attributes that have nothing to do with Tapestry, but does this really matter? If attributes are being confused with component parameters, I don't see how one binding over the other is going to do you much good.
